Blender: Modling Optimus Prime Power Master. 5th Part.

In this tutorial we see how to model the legs of the robot, along with the material assignment for each part.

As I say in the video, there are a couple of details that I still need to fix about proportions, but I will do it at the end of the series.

This is the render for today's update:

A little breakdown for the video:

  • Inset creation from the waist (with I key) to extrude the first part of the leg
  • Extrusion and scaling of the leg to create the bottom part (blue part) of the leg
  • Edge loops to create the creaveses of the legs
  • Material assignment for legs

Blender: Modeling Optimus Prime Power Master. 4th Part

In this tutorial we get to do the chest and waist for the big Prime, so we can start with arms and legs in the next one.

We might still work on proportions, but nothing to be worried about.

However, this is the final render (for this part, of course):

A little breakdown of the video:

  • We add a cube to star the chest, being in edit mode, so it gets affected by the mirror modifier.
  • We assign the materials.
  • We add another cube for the radiator and we add some edge loops (Ctrl+R) and we select every other face and then extrude them inwards to make the holes fo the radiator.

Blender: Creando un juego. Parte XIV

  • "Horneado" (Bake all Dynamics)

Blender: Modeling Optimus Prime Power Master. 3rd. Part

In this tutorial we start modeling the chest of the big Prime, and we give it a couple materials, and we see the way different materials have to be given to a single mesh (object).

We assign two different materials to a single cube, that we have mirrorred using the modifier. We give it a Glossy material (for the metalic part) and also we give it a Glass material for the chest windows.

Here is the render:

Blender: Creando un juego. Parte XIII
